Grounding is essential for healing from trauma because it helps bring the nervous system out of survival mode and into a state of safety, presence, and connection. Trauma often fragments the connection between body and mind— people may feel stuck in hypervigilance (fight-or-flight) or numbed-out disconnection (freeze). Grounding interrupts these patterns by anchoring awareness in the present moment, helping the body remember that it is no longer in

danger.

This Guide helps us to begin finding a grounding practice

that speaks to our unique nervous system to use proactively

and reactively when we need it.
